There is a guy I like who I'm going to give the pseudonym of Jacob. I like him because we have lots in common, he's funny, smart and cute. We're just regular teenagers, we don't do anything bad like drugs or alcohol or breaking the law. We're both really normal.
He asked me out and I want to say yes. My mom has already met him, and she's fine with it, because like I said, he's a nice kid. I don't want him to be my baby's father, and he doesn't want that either, we just want to hang out because we enjoy each other's company.
But there is the small problem of my father. I have had a couple of boys come over to do a group project with me, and we WERE NOT dating and he gave them sex chats each indivualy. He is realy protective of me and sees all teenaged boys as threats to my virginity. (I'm actually being serious!!). He threatens them that if they go anywhere near me, he will "be on them like a bag of hammers" .
I like Jacob as a friend, and I want to date him but I do not want my dad to do that to him. It's way too intense. I don't mind them meeting first, but the sex talk thing has got to stop!
I've tried telling him that Jacob has respectable parents who I'm sure have already told him all this stuff (and this is completely true) but he won't listen. My dad thinks Jacob needs to hear it. I don't know what to tell my dad to change his mind...
