How can I obtain my college transcript in NY without getting it from the college...

...I attended? I am trying to apply for college for the first time since 2005. However, when I tried to obtain a transcript from the school (Katharine Gibbs School) they said I have a "hold" on the account. Is there another way to get the transcript where I don't have to go through the school?
