My husband and I had our immigration interview recently and they requested that he provide them with records from a court date that he had 10 years ago. We both live here in th U.S. He contacted the court itself and they told him that they could only provide him with the documents if he knew the exact date that he was in court. His paperwork may be in an attic in England (it was 10 years ago) or may be lost altogether. We contacted the British Embassy here in the States, but they told us to contact the courts. Does anyone know how we can get this info? Would the arresting police agency keep records of when someone went to court? Please help if you can. Serious answers only, please, as this is a serious matter.
