How can I motivate myself to exercise?

I've recently had surgery on my knee and I'm finding it hard to motivate myself to exercise.

It's been 5 months and my muscles are still not as it use to be. The bed rest has made me lazy and a lot less agile, which makes me feel extremely frustrated and weak most of the time. Plus I've gained a lot of weight during my recovery which makes me feel even worse and less confident than I used to be (believe it or not, I was a healthy 68 kgs now I'm pushing 78-80 kgs). How can I get myself out of this hole?
