How can I merge albums on itunes?

I've tried selecting all the albums, hitting control I, and setting the options as part of a compilation album. And I've also tried selecting all the songs, right clicking, going to get info, and making sure that all of the songs are all in the same album. Neither of these have worked.

I'm using windows on a Dell.
