How can i meat this guy i like with out seeming weird?

I dont wanna just go up and talk to him cause i think its kinda weird and random to do that to pple and i dont want him thinking im weird plus hes a senior and im a sophmore idk how to meet him idk if i have any friends that know him well enough to introduce me. but i dnt want my friend to go up and be like hey she likes cause i think its immature any ideas? or just things i can do to get his attention not in the wrong way
