My hair has always been... well, challenging. Some things about it...
1) Has incredible tangles in it. Huge, painful tangles, all the time since I was a kid. I can brush it, sit for 5 minutes in a chair, and there are tangles again. Have been mystifying hairstylists everywhere. Often have to cut these tangles out as if there were gum in there.
2) Dry, tangly ends
3) REALLY greasy roots, and bangs. They are oily even an hour after I have showered and dried my hair. Not possible to skip a day of showering, if I want to go in public.
How I wash it, etc.:
- Shower nearly every day, wash my hair nearly every day
- Use various shampoos (clarifying sometimes, volume boost sometimes, Garnier "balance" shampoo sometimes)
- Only lather on roots, not ends
- Because of the tangles, I do use conditioner (doesn't help that much really but.. oh well), but ONLY ON THE ENDS. Never near the top, because it's greasy enough.
- Have to brush it out a lot before drying, and throughout the day to tame tangles
- Blow-drying all of my hair could never happen in one sitting... I do it for about twenty minutes before I give up. It is half-dry by that point. Dries naturally the rest of the day.
WHAT DO I DO.
edit: also, I am 18 years old. Had acne, am on the pill now and that has pretty much gone away.
