How can I make theory science lesson interesting?

Students have already learnt about continental drift, convection current and interactions at plate boundaries. This next lesson is on the impact of plate boundaries so volcanoes, earthquakes, mountains etc..

It seems theory based so I wanted an interesting IDEA on HOW to teach this. They are really intelligent high school students.
