How can I make my pioneer double din fit in my 2000 Chevy silverado1500?

I was trying to install a Double din PIONEER AVH-P4100DVD in my 2000 Chevy silverado but noticed that my deck is only for 1.5 din, so I decided to cut off a small piece of the deck and almost all of the double din went in but still a hugo amount out, does anyone have any tips or ways in how to install the double din inside the deck in order to make it look like it belongs there and making it look professional??...please it looks nasty having all those cuts and the double din out so any help would be appreciated thanks
