Am I Cool Yet?

Guest
I was at a street race today, and i saw my friend race his talon against a Honda civic, there really suped up, well, not really, my friend just got a cool air intake on the talon, and he's getting a spoiler put on it too, so after the race, (my friend lost) me and my other friends decided to race eachother, so we did, and i won, he had a Ford probe, i have a V8 on my explorer, so i knew it was a sure win, but i was wondering how do i make it faster???

A cold air intake is a start. K&N is the most trusted. A whole new exhaust system from the headers to the mufflers would be second. Buy two mufflers, an H pipe, and racing headers. That can add up to almost 50 horse if done right. You can also buy a chip for the engine to improve it's performance. Those are usually the least expensive improvements you can do yourself or with an experienced friend if you are not mechanically inclined.

You will less safe. If you are not a good driver then you need to be careful. That truck was not designed for those kind of modifications. I would buy an over sized braking system and racing tires. I hope this gave you some good ideas and Good Luck!
