I just transferred to a big university and I want to make new friends (since I've outgrown my current friends years ago), but it's been hard. The school's in the middle of nowhere, so most people go home on the weekends, I'm always busy with schoolwork, and, again, the school's big so you barely see the same person twice.
I joined clubs and stuff but it just seems like I only talk to my classmate friends about the class and I only see the club friends at the club meetings.
I think most people who stay at school have house parties, but you only have house parties with close friends. Everyone whom I have met don't go out and they too are busy with school.
I feel like if the people I meet really like me, they'd ask me to do something but they don't, so I don't ask them to do anything either, and we are thus at a standstill.
Any tips? And please only give advice that you yourself would take in my situation. Thanks.
