I'm making a set of tree swings for my neighbor's boys, but the swings keep getting tangled. I understand the physics of uneven swings, but don't know how to fix this problem. I've heard that I can drill through the tree and thread the swing's rope through a pbc pipe fulcrum, but won't that a) hurt the neighbor's tree, and b) be too weak? let me know what you think.
How can I make a tree swing anchored to an uneven branch swing straight?
