how can i make a picture on an id fade?

i have this school ID of me where the picture is terrible but i graduated already and can't take a new one. i want to keep the id but make the picture look more faded so it's harder to see the picture. i thought maybe using an eraser against the picture might work but it's not. any suggestions??
 
make it fade in the sun or under a lamp...but don't get it to close to the lamp, or it'll melt the plastic and catch on fire.
