I have a mac with mac os x leopard preinstalled, and do not have the original install dvd. Is there a way to make a copy of the original leopard operating system just from the system files that are on my computer right now? (without transferring my specific user files. I just want the original operating system files)

Any links or information will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

There isn't, but you have the full version of Leopard on the discs that came with your Mac. The System Restore Discs include the OS that came with your computer, and if you don't have those discs anymore, The Apple Store will give you a copy for around $20.

Unfortunately, you can make a bootable copy of your entire computer using a utility like Carbon Copy Cloner, but you can't extract just the system files.
