how can i make a chocolate cake with cooked chocolate pudding?

I am wanting to make my hubby a special chocolate cake from the kids i was thinking about pouring some cake batter then some pudding and a little more cake batter but i am afraid by doing that it will explode in the oven any suggestions from anyone

You could put the pudding in the cake as the filling after it's baked, I don't think it would bake well in the oven.
