I live in a rent house that my landlord doesn't take very good care of. I only stay here because the rent is so cheap. It's a single wide mobile home with NO trees around! The windows and doors are not sealed very well, so I'm sure air escapes through there. I have blinds and curtains on all windows.
My ac is set on 75 however, during the day it runs non-stop and the lowest it gets in here is 80. I'm in Texas where it is 104 outside!
I need to know what I can do to make it cooler in here without doing anything permanent. If I do anything like clean my house I sweat, so I try not to do anything all day to stay cool, but nothing gets done with me sitting on my rear end all day!
Please help before my electricity bill reaches $300!
btw it's an old home prob'ly from the 80s and the landlord just replaced the outdoor ac unit.
And there is prob'ly little to no insulation between the walls. As I said it's old and the landlord doesn't take care of it.
