How can I lose muscle without giving up dancing?

Basically I'm aiming to lose some weight but I also want to lose some muscle. I'm a girl and I'm not like a body builder or anything but I have danced for 7 years and can say for a fact that I'm more muscly than most girls my age. I really don't like it and I'd rather just be thin and toned. I've researched a bit already and the best I can come up with so far is lower calories and protein, do lots of cardio, etc. However, I've also read that dancing builds muscle so obviously that's going to be conflicting! Any advice on how I can keep dancing regularly but lose muscle?
