At work, I have a flash drive and multiple computers with the same files on it. Early on, my naming and labeling was sloppy. However, after relabeling certain files, clicking and dragging the most recent file to my flash drive backup just creates duplicate files. It is getting pretty confusing as to what is the most up to date file, especially when I reorganize and files into folders that were not organized before. The only thing I can come up with is to make sure one computer has all the most up to date stuff, then delete the files from all the other computers and re - back them up from the good source. However, I am afraid doing so may cause the loss of data. Is there a program that will scan and recognize the most up to date files, even in new folders or under different file names; and perhaps cut down on my duplicate files?
