D dave s Guest Mar 4, 2008 #2 try a tape that cleans the tape player heads. other than that, the tape is probably starting to loose the magnetic properties which make it work. This is why DVDs are now in use, they last forever.

L leslie Guest Mar 4, 2008 #3 Well at certain pharmacies and Wal-Mart i think they can convert VCR tapes into DVDs so that might improve the quality. Disney i think is also going to improve the color and sound of their movies. They have already done 101 dalmations
