How Can I Improve My Writing Skills?

Some people just don't enjoy writing. The first step is to read all you can get your hands on, so you're already a step ahead since you already do that. Try to pay attention to the structure of sentences, paragraphs, chapters, articles, etc. in the things you read.
Maybe you could start a journal and write about things that you actually care about, without any strict format, but in an effort to help organize your writing style. Then it won't be an obligation, but a kind of fun way to practice your writing.
And since you're the only one that would be reading it, you wouldn't feel as pressured to be perfect.
Then you can go back later and read it like it was written by someone else and try to pick up on anything that seems out of place or unclear.
