I think my husband is a really good writer. His dream job would be to be an author, but he knows this is unrealistic. But I think he should still be able to achieve his dream, even if it is only a hobby. He really likes horror and writes horror novels. He's never finished an in depth novel, but he's completed some short stories.
I try to motivate him all the time and encourage him. He works on his writings sometimes, but other times he doesn't because he has such low self esteem of himself and doesn't think his work is any good. I am a writer too (poetry mostly) so I can tell that his works are good.
I know that I cannot change the way he feels about himself, I can only continue to be there for him and motivate him, but is there anything I can do to help push him along? Or are there any good books out there with information I could give him? Or is there any publishing information someone could give me to help him work towards his goal? Any advice would be appreciated, thank you!
