We bought a car from a guy in Arkansas. We live in Oklahoma. We have the bill of sale however all the titles that we had to all our vehicles were stolen along with other items. We filed a report with the police. The guy will not return our calls about filing for a lost title. We have left several messages on his cell and have tried him twice at work. This has been going on for about a month now. We went to the Cherokee DMV and they told us we were basically S.O.L. Is there anything we can do? Can we go to the Arkansas DMV? Or can we try to file as an abandoned vehicle? We have the proof we bought it from him with the notarized bill of sale.
how can i get the title to a car with the bill of sale or is it possible?
