I'm 15, and I'm going into my sophomore year of high school in Michigan. I really want to get as many scholarships and as much money towards college as I possibly can so I can afford to go to college in Utah.
I get good grades now, all A's, but I know there are other things that matter besides that. I know I should study really hard for the SAT and ACT so I can get a really good score, because that's mostly what colleges look at.
Also, I've been thinking about doing some kind of volunteering work. I know that looks good on a college resume, but what else can I do that would look good? I'm really just trying to get almost all of my college paid for, because I don't want my parents to have to pay a lot for me to go away to college.
If I continue to get good grades, like almost all A's, and assuming I get a pretty good score on the ACT or SAT, about how big of a scholarship could I get for a school like the University of Utah or Utah State?
Thanks.
