I have Windows XP, with SigmaTel audio and I'm trying to record sound using X-Fire but I need Stereo Mix to do that. When I go into its options it doesn't have it as an input, it's the same with the windows sound setup, I go into Options > Properties > Recording > and the only things that are there are: Line In, Microphone and Rear MIC. I want stereo mix!
Can I do anything to download it? Or something! And can I download another sound driver? Or do I also need the correct hardware for the sound driver to function? Help please!
I went to this site, but I didn't see anything for SigmaTel, now I went to Start > Control Panel (Classic view) > System > Hardware > Device manager > Sound, video and game controllers > And there is this: Audio Codecs, Legacy Audio Drivers, SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC and Unimodem Half-Duplex Audio Device (theres also a few other things, but these are only ones referring to audio) I'm not sure which one is my driver? Is it Legacy? I go into dxdiag and it says its SigmaTel, but that might be because I installed that driver trying to update? Can you help me with that?
