how can i get rid of the nasty smell my shoes have?

Ive tried baking soda, it does nothing. Ive tried putting them in the freezer, the smell only goes away until my shoe thaws. ive tried baking soda in the freezer and it made no difference.

now, we are talking about size 14 DC skate shoes here, these things are huge, im not talking about nike running shoes or anything...

I currently have sneaker balls in them whenever Im not wearing them, and now they smell like minty feet. ive tried everything that is supposed to miraculously work. what else can i do?
