We have recently bought a brand new home and we will be moving into in about 2-3 weeks. I have noticed that we have roaches living in our electronics and a few appliances like dishwasher and deep freezer. I would like to have these bugs gone before we move. Where we live now is a rented trailer and we have battled these darned roaches for 2 years now. Our landlord will not pay for a professional to come and get rid of them. He says he can do it himself for cheaper. Which if we had any pro come to fix anything on this trailer it's supposed to be taken out of our rent. I think this is why he wants to do it himself every time. All he does is put boric acid around the freezer, refrigerator, and stove. He calls the black roaches "water-bugs" which they are roaches, not water-bugs. I have bug bombed the hell out of this house and I don't feel comfortable with bombing the place more than I have, since I have a kid running around and I don't like using boric acid either. Is there anyway of getting these roaches out of my fishes' tank lid, 4 televisions, 2 xbox 360s, 2 computers, and appliances without the use of anything harmful to the electronics, us, or the environment? We are a very clean, tidy family and we leave nothing for these bugs to get to. I think they lived under our house when we used the bombs. I haven't bug bombed in a month and they have been seen running around in the screen of our tvs, in with the motherboard in our computers, in the fish tank's lid light, and under the larger appliances. This trailer's walls aren't completely connected to the ceilings like they should be so I can see roaches running around from room to room through the small gaps at the top of the wall. I will be so glad when we get moved and I hope we don't get ANY stragglers with us. So, please, any ideas that could get rid of these darn pests would be great! I do prefer environmentally-safe products, but will be glad to use anything as long as it doesn't affect my husband's asthma or cause harm to my child.
(And, please no negative remarks. We had to live in this crap because of my husband getting laid off. Thank God that is over with and things are starting to get better now.)
