How can I get rid of my google search history on internet explorer?

I followed the procedures necessary to do so, but all the previous searched items are still in the toolbar and I want to get rid of them.

No, I don't have anything naughty or inappropriate on there I just don't like clogging the toolbar with so many searches and categories.

Any advice out there?
I have Internet explorer.
