i have a phobia of needles and i really don't want to get the peanut butter shot in boot camp i know i got to get other shots i can handle those thought, but getting the one in the butt i don't think i can handle and i been herring they don't give those any more but some people say they do

If you can't handle a shot, then you won't do well in the military. I'll tell you that right now.

Been thousands ahead of you....
we all made it through....

The "flying seven" was fun for me!
4 TB tests and 3 needle shots wheeee!

And the "Bi-cillin"; the shot ain't nothing compared to the next morning..but if you have an understanding DI, he'll take you to the drill field for the day ...to work out the kinks.

If you 'flinch' during the shot, expect the administrator to 'hunt around' for a while for the appropriate spot.... HA HA HA I stood like a rock.

lol you're scared of a needle but you're getting a job that could end up getting you shot... Bullets are bigger than needles... Grow a pair

Don't remember getting one in 1979, did get two air gun shots one in each arm at the same time, we had big guys passing out from that.

I'd suggest your let your pair hang cause you're entering a job where it's your duty to serve and protect a nation from harm...which surpasses the anxiety/pain any shot could bring.

I don't remember any shot in the butt. They used airgun type injections. We linked arms with our "buddy" and walked thru some place and my buddy fainted. I dragged him as they doubled pumped him with shots. Yep, those were the good ol days.

ROFL, I was going to advise you stay out of the line of fire, and then I read what kind of shot you meant.

Honeypie, there are going to be lots of things you're going to hate and fear in boot camp and beyond, and you are not going to get out of them. You need to get a sense of perspective about what you'll live through and what really matters. An injection in the behind may be embarrassing, it may be painful, but it will be OVER pretty quickly (if it happens at all), and you will live through it. Go into it like a man. Consider it practice for other times when you can't get out of something and can't let your fear show.

You let on that you're afraid of something, and they will use it against you at some point. Hazing happens.
