How can i get my Visualboy Advance Emulator to play any on the gameboy color...

...games i downloaded? for some reason, i cant play any gameboy color game on the Visualboy Advance Emulator i downloaded. i read somewhere that the Visualboy Advance Emulator would play gba games, gbc games and regular gb games. but i only works for my gba games. what am i doing wrong? or if there is an actual Gameboy color emulator i can download, would you please give me the site for it?

go up to options and click on it then go to change gameboy.
