How can I get my dog not to bark when I go camping?

I'd like to take my 2-year-old Pomeranian camping, in a tent, but I'm afraid she'll bark at every little noise she hears at night. Any suggestions?

shock collar....or you could get a pet bear, that would be awesome the pet bear not the shock collar....well the shock collar would deff be funny on a pom..

I took my pomeranian on a camping trip and she barked, a lot. But after awhile she calmed down and went to sleep. I think when they can't see what it is that's making the noise, it makes it worse. I'd bring with you whatever she needs to make her comfortable at night. If she sleeps in a crate, bring that, or if she has a special bed or blanket or even a toy, bring that. She had a lot of fun on the trip, so I can't say I wouldn't do it again. You just have to be a little patient!

i have 3 dogs that go camping with us and they do bark but mostly at other campers. in the evening they settle down and sleep but are listening. just scold her when she starts barking and hold her snout and say no quiet and eventually she might calm down. work with her so she will get use to the sounds and scents of the area and she will look forward to going. i have a husky, border collie and poochin and in our camper it gets pretty full but they love coming and are the first ones in the van when we are ready to leave.this is the first time they have camped so they get use to the site and are pretty excited getting there. good luck
