How can i get my 99 dodge dakota to sound good?

It's a 1999 dodge dakota 3.9L v6 sport 4x4 reg cab the truck has a cold air intake that gives a deeper grumbling sound . I was told to use thrush mufflers but i dont know what those sound like. I want it to sound good and not like a bumble bee. what size pipes should i use? what kind of muffler should i use? and will it sound good without headers?
