How can I get more performance from my stock 1987 Mercury Grand Marquis 5.0L?

Just bought a very nice Mercury Grand Marquis from 1987 with 69k actual.
What are some ways I can boost the performance? Nothing crazy....even 40 to 60 more horsepower would be great. Thanks
