How can I get more involved with the family business?

I'm 17 and my dream in life is to be successful and I plan on working hard for it. My dad's cousin owns a large spanish restaurant, bakery, and club that makes very good money for their family. My dad was once extremely close to his cousins but as everyone got married and started having their own families and responsibilities they sort of wen their own way. He still speaks with them often but not like he used to. Anyways, my point here is that I'm becoming pretty close with them now. Earlier today I had lunch with my cousin at his restaurant and we were talking business and what not. Over the summer I will be shadowing and following him around to see what he does. I would really like to be a part of the restaurant one day and help it grow. Not only would I be able to do that I'd be able to know my family. I just wanted to get some tips from you all on how to fit in and graft myself into the business. Part of my dream is owning a restaurant and I think learning from them would do me a great deal of good. Do you all have any tips on how I can become closer with them and start helping out and working with them?
