How can i get html, like from stagevu embed codes, to show up in joomla version 1.5.8

HELP!!? i have tried to turn off the wiyg or whatever editor, but it isnt working at all, i see the video in the preview before i publish, but when i go to main site, all i see is the title and info.. help me please
