I live in Illinois and want to go to school out of state at either University of Iowa or Mizzou (University of Missour-Columbia). My dad is an optometrist putting my older sister and myself through college at the same time (I'm a senior in hs right now). He makes too much money to take out loans for our schooling, and says that it's not possible to acquire financial aid. He also does NOT want to have debts after school, so I'm sure he's having his biases... which I don't blame him for. I want to go to these schools, but I'm not sure if I should or how I can get financial aid. Are there programs that will let us use loans? I'm also open to any opinions regarding whether or not I should pay the out of state tuition... I get the concept of why I shouldn't put twice the amount of money into it, but I just feel like they're just better schools than what I'm going to go to in Illinois.
