J john doe New member Mar 10, 2011 #1 I have a 1999 Ford Ranger v6 flex-fuel and it gets about 17 mpg's on a good day. It has a manual transmission. The odd thing is that my 2003 F150 gets around 20, and it is an automatic. Is there a way to get better gas mileage out of the Ranger?
