We only found out last week that my daughter, a freshman, lost financial aid for this coming Fall term because she dropped several classes and did not understand the implications of this. She has been awarded an RA position and we are to move her to school one week before her financial aid appeal. We were told that they have no earlier appeal appointments open, but don't want to move her only to find out she might get denied as she will not be able to attend school without the aid. Am I too worried about this appeal (do they just want to make her sweat) or should I be adamant about speaking with someone who will help get this appeal handled before her move back to school?
