I want to join the military when I am old enough to but I am wondering about the education. Currently, I plan to attend American University, George Washington University or Georgetown University but at the same time I want to enter the military as an officer rather than an enlisted. To do this I plan on going to either USNA in Annapolis, MA or USMA in Westpoint, NY. But this leads me to my question- after my term with the military is over, what benefits does the military offer for educational purposes and would it be easier to get into college right away rather than wait for my term with the military to end?
So if I were to graduate, should I apply to one of the said universities right away? I know that after I graduate I can always then join a military university (USMA or USNA). Would the military help pay for college though through military benefits? I know I have repeated some of the same questions but I just thought I worded some of them a little strange at first. As for my final question- Can I attend a regular university and then join the military as an officer? I doubt it, because that wouldn't really make sense. I have tried looking these questions up but I couldn't find much about it. :/
