How can I get access to cadavers for photography?

I'm a 3rd year BA photography student in England. I'm currently working on a project about Death. I've always had a big issue with this topic, and I thought it would be a good idea to explore this theme. I want to produce some tasteful, but informative work at it's completion.

As part of my research before undertaking my project, I'm trying to find out how it would be possible to get access to human cadavers. I know they are used by medical students for practice and education, but is it possible to photograph these?
I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be allowed into hospital morgues for photography. But as for medical schools. Is there any advice people could give me? Who would be the best person to approach?
Would it be possible as long as I'm not capturing the persons identity by omitting their face from images?

If anyone has some insight or advice on this matter, it would be greatly appreciated.
