How can i get a lien release if the bike wasn't paid off from the original owner?

I bought a used 04 600rr cbr from a friend who sold it to me and lost the title he says, but he could get me it, flash forward two years still no title so i went to the government center and the police allowed me to get the names of the original owner of the bike with the vin. I got the names and got the dmv to get me a duplicate title to be sent to my house, now when i got the title it had a bank lien on it and when i went to the bank they said it wasn't paid off so now i can't change the title to my name and i've had the bike in my posession for two years without even riding a mile well beside riding it home from where i picked up the bike. Now i found out the owners and the people i bought it from sold a bike that was never theirs. What are my options please help!? :; ; ;
