I am in disagreement with the Iraq war and the U.S' current foreign policy of "nation building".
We went in to get rid of weapons of mass destruction. We found none. Then we said we stayed to get rid of the ruthless dictator. We shouldn't have gone in, but we did anyway. So we made our argument that we would get rid of Saddam. Well we did that and still stayed. Then our rationale was that we need to provide a stable democratic government.
How can I form a thesis (aka the last sentence of my first paragraph) for my term paper that effectively shows my opposition to the Iraq war and explains why we shouldn't have gone in, and if we did go in, shouldn't have stayed.
