I found our old RX-V990 Yamaha Stereo receiver in our garage. I would really like to to salvage it and start using it for my dorm room, but there's a small problem. It won't even turn on. After trying several different outlets, I unscrewed the front plate of the receiver to find its power button unaligned from where it's supposed to be. I tried plugging it in and just hitting the power button without the face plate and exterior button, but still, the receiver will not turn on. perhaps it's just some kind of power failure? I dont know. I'm not very good at electronics. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
