I have a 2006 Ford Mustang 4.6 L. The battery is fine and everything is working now. About a month ago the car didn't start, but I found out it was the bolt/nut that keeps the battery and cable connected was corroded away. I bought a nut from ACE hardware that has so far done the job by keeping the car running. When I checked the terminal this morning it was corroded again, however When I was going to clean it I could not remove the nut easily so I left it alone. If I do take it off there's a good chance it won't go back on and my car won't start. Anyway I contacted the dealer and they wanted to sell me the entire cable (160 bucks). The nut I bought was 2 dollars and I believe this is a minor problem. The problem is I cannot find the nut anywhere in town or online. What can I do to fix this problem/Does anyone have suggestions? BTW the nut is for the positive terminal.
