ok i was coming home on my motorcycle 1982 yamaha maxim 400 and the front brake locked on the rotor, like the little push cylinder in the caliper pushed down on its own and started slowing me way down and i stopped on the road and it was smoking. so i poured oil all over it and pryed it apart as best as i could to make it home. then i removed the caliper and from the fork and took the bleeder out to release the piston part and now it has like no pressure.

the screw on the master cylinder is stripped so i cant get the cover off, but if i can get it off would that fix the problem if i added some brake fluid? or does this sound like a different problem in the caliper itself?
dont spam people (?) you have that link on everything you answered
well im sure ill get it off eventually, im just trying to get a solution and wondering if its something as simple as adding brake fluid, or if the lock up is something way more serious then adjusting the caliper and adding brake fluid.
@easygoing when i get it off do you think adding fluid will fix it?
i got the master cylinder apart
its full of really old brake fluid that is all nasty and brown and clumpy, i think it got a bunch of sludge stuck in the master cylinder and jammed the caliper piston
