How can I fit exercise into my really busy lifestyle?

My BMI is 17.1. I'm not worried about losing weight so much as getting fit! My endurance and strength are pathetic--I can barely run 3/4 of a mile without breathing hard and having to stop. The sad part is, I have very little time to work with. My weekends are usually clear, but I'm a full time student (I get to school at 7, and stay until around 6. I do the play after school) and I don't know how I'll be able to fit in any kind of running whatsoever. Buying an elliptical or something is definitely out of the question. Help!!
