how can i find out if my car has a circuit for the side markers on 89 buick lesabre?

the fuse blew for the lights so i replaced it with what they said, 20 amp. i turned on the lights and the chim rang twice and then the fuse blew again. then i put a 40 amp and it worked but the dash light still didnt light up. and the fuse was burning the wire. so i have no idea wats wrong with it. help?? thanx
