how can i find info on buying a Suzuki sx4?

i was thinking about buying a 07 or 08 plate Suzuki sx4, but cant find out what the difference between the different UK models are,
and do i get the diesel or petrol, because in a normal day i would do both short and long journeys.
and do they have any common problems that i should know about.

can you help
