How can I edit the author of a PDF in a Windows Vista folder?

I can change the properties of a PDF, including the author details but I cannot change the author that is displayed in the Windows folder that the PDF is kept in. There is a tab in the folder with the heading author but it doesn't show the author according to the PDF properties. Is there a way of editing this field?
