How can i ease the pain of being sick?

I think I have a cold or the flu. I've had a stuffy nose and a very sore throat. I have aches and pains all over my body that make it hard to even walk around and I'll be freezing under two blankets but sweating at the same time. I've been taking ibeprofen but it only dulls the pain for a.little while.

What I'm asking is.does anyone know of medicine or home remedies for these symptoms so I don't feel so terrible? Any advice would really help.
