how can i drag or copy multiple songs from my itunes to a certain playlist?

i know how to do it one song at a time.. (by right clicking, add to playlist, blah) i tried highlighting certain ones but it just drags the song. can i highlight like a chunk of songs and add that to a playlist? please help (:
